Preclinical Efficacy & Safety
We have preclinical data which indicates that HC3-1496 is efficacious in animal models of RA, AMD, ischemia/reperfusion, and oncology.
Recently, we demonstrated that infusion of HC3-1496 into the pulmonary artery of cynomologous monkeys was generally well-tolerated, even at doses that are anticipated to be well above the clinical setting. This particular animal model was deliberately chosen as a rigorous test since the lung is a target organ of neutrophil migration following complement activation.
