HC3-1496
InCode has capitalized on the safe and effective depletion of complement in preclinical models by Cobra Venom Factor (CVF). CVF is a structural analog of the complement protein C3, sharing approximately 50% homology at the protein level. We have developed a product candidate that combines the overall structure of human C3 with the homologous sequence from CVF. This protein, HC3-1496, interacts with complement factor B to form a stable convertase (C3bBb) that enzymatically depletes complement C3, without the downstream activation of C5.
